Legends Rock drummer Chad Cromwell has been interviewed by ARGOSY, the leading designer and manufacturer of high-end technical furniture for recording, post-production and film studios and high-tech facilites worldwide.
During the in-depth discussion the legendary drummer, who has worked with a long list of renown recording artists including Joe Walsh, Neil Young, Mark Knopfler, Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Peter Frampton, Emmylou Harris, Lady Antebellum and many others, shares valuable insights into his career path and his artistic approach to music in general.
Besides revealing that drums and experimenting with sounds have always come naturally to him, Cromwell tells the story of getting one of his big breaks after hanging out with Joe Walsh one night, who asked him to play a few days later with him at KLOS Shoreline Amphitheatre. “My first gig with Joe Walsh was at this big radio festival in front of 20,000 people; we were supposed to rehearse, but we never did,” he says. “So my first gig with Joe Walsh was cold. And that took me to a whole new place in my career, and people started calling.”
